Kara is a stay at home mummy of two. Her passion is crafting, sewing and anything fabric related! Over the last few years she has grown her business, starting with attending markets with her range of handmade goods to now stocking a huge range of quality designer fabrics at reasonable prices.

Kara’s love of fabric started as a child. Always sitting next to her mum while she was sewing, waiting for the offcuts so she could make something for her dolls. As she got older, her creativity grew and she was allowed to use her mum’s sewing machine to turn these visions into reality! Today, that same sewing machine is still what she uses to create her products.

Kara’s decision to stock a range of designer fabrics came from the inability to find the variety and quality of fabrics she was after locally, and the expense associated with ordering from overseas. She knew that, with this gap in the fabric market locally, she was not the only one struggling to find affordable quality designer fabrics. And so, Stitch Fabric & Design was born!

Since then, the Stitch Fabric range has grown to almost 600 different prints with more added weekly.

Stitch Fabric & Design offer you the option of online shopping, as well as popping in to her home in Traralgon and helping you choose the right fabrics to make your projects extra special. Kara also attends lots of local markets and LOVES to meet all the local customers that support her little business!

I try to have my product images as close to their actual colours in real life but every computer or phone screen is different and it's often hard to match fabrics. I'm more than happy to take photos of certain combinations so you can see how they go together. I'd love to hear from you!

I run my business from my home in Traralgon, Victoria. All visitors are very welcome but BY APPOINTMENT ONLY as I am also a Mumma and will need to organize visits around my family. Any purchases made at these visits may be paid for in cash, by Paypal or by Card.
